This year's conference will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, and will build on the success of previous joint ABA/CBA agricultural lenders conferences held in 1995 (Des Moines, Iowa), 2000 (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and 2005 (Omaha, Nebraska). As with the past conferences, the 2010 conference will provide agricultural bankers and lenders with the information, tools, techniques, skills and inspiration needed to meet emerging challenges.

The theme for this year's conference is "Between Friends". Canadian and American conference speakers will address some of the key issues and trends in the agricultural industry bankers face on both sides of the 49th parallel including:

Agricultural trade

Emerging lending trends

The North American economy

Agricultural lender education, and

The effects of government policy.

The theme also highlights the return of the Lowry and Ridder families of Neepawa, Manitoba and West Point, Nebraska, respectively. Both families have been staples of previous joint North American conferences. They will provide thought-provoking views about how agriculture, their operations, challenges, and banking has evolved over the last 15 years they have been speaking at the conference, while providing a window to the next 15 years.
The conference will also give attendees an opportunity to meet and build relationships with agricultural bankers, lenders, suppliers, government officials and academics from across North America. The conference will help you understand the key issues that bankers from the close to 1,600 banks that serve the North American agricultural sector regularly confront.
Registration

As a partner in the planning process, the CBA is able to offer to Canadian attendees from the private sector the same rate as ABA registrants.
For early registration (registrations received before August 20, 2010), rates are:

Individual Canadian delegates register at $855 USD

Canadian delegates Team rates — one person from an institution pays the above rate, all subsequent registrations from the same institution pay $645 USD — as long as they are received by August 20, 2010.

For registration received after August 20, 2010, rates are:

Individual Canadian delegates may register up to and including the day of the conference at $925 USD.

Canadian delegates Team rates — after one person pays the individual rate, then all subsequent registrations from the same institution can be made at $820 USD.

To register, and for further information about the conference, visit the ABA website.
