Coalition on Internal Trade

Last modified: 01 February 2010

A coalition of 10 national associations, including the CBA, is calling on Ottawa to establish a set of open trade principles to improve internal trade within Canada. Canada’s fragmented internal trade environment drives up costs for business while reducing competitiveness, costing the Canadian economy as much as $14 billion each year. These efforts are part of CBA’s ongoing advocacy in support of a national approach to economic activity and regulation, including the establishment of a national securities regulator.
